BLAST: Bulls Leading and Serving Tampa

BLAST (Bulls Leading And Serving Tampa) makes it easy to get connected to community service! BLAST works to develop new traditions of service at USF. These easy-access, one-time projects occur monthly and are geared towards bringing individual students and student organizations together for service. Whether you are a committed volunteer or are volunteering for the first time – BLAST projects are fun and meaningful!

SENIOR CITIZEN PROM

February 20th, 2013

MSC Ballroom

6pm-8pm

 

Students spend an evening socializing and dancing with local senior citizens. Games, food, live music and tons of fun! Volunteers are needed to help decorate the ballroom, mingle with guests and to encourage senior citizens to dance throughout the evening. Online registration is now closed for student and staff volunteers on Service Pro!

 

Community Partners and students who wish to bring their grandparents may RSVP by using the following RSVP form.

Community Plunge

This annual kick-off to the community service year occurs at the start of each Fall semester. Hundreds of USF students come out to volunteer together in the Tampa Bay area. Check In: 8:00am at MSC Amphitheater on September 1st.

 

Gandhi Day of Service

This event brings together students/student groups from across campus and across cultures to celebrate and live Gandhi's message of peace and service. Check In: 8:00am at MSC Amphitheater on October 6th, 2012

 

Hunger Banquet

It is the 12th Annual Oxfam Hunger Banquet. Space is limited. Registration is Coming Soon!

Event: 6pm-8pm at MSC Ballroom on November 6th, 2012

 

Annual Holiday Toy Drive

This holiday toy drive brings the USF community together to provide gifts for children in Hillsborough County Foster Care and those children seeking treatment from Shriners Children Hospital. A list of USF departments hosting Toy Drive collections will be posted on the website near the event date. Check back for more information.

Local-Motive

A new tradition at USF, Local-Motive brings together local independent restaurants, businesses, nonprofits and much more! Find a new interesting place to eat, fix your bike, or get involved in the Tampa culture. Because supporting local places is important--put your money where your house is!
